38 kms from Almora, Jageshwar is believed to be the abode of twelve Jyotirling's. It is situated in a beautiful narrow valley surrounded by magnificent Deodar trees.

The complex, consisting of 124 temples and hundreds of statues, is famous not merely for its exquisite craftsmanship but also for its Swayambhu Linga named Nagesh. In Jageshwar, fairs are held during Shivaratri and in the month of ' Savan' (JuIy, August).

The place is frequented by both religious as well as nature lover tourists.

Mritola Ashram:
A center of spiritual and natural beauty lures foreign deciples in great number. Patoria farm is also part of this Ashram. Mritola is 2 kms. on foot from Vridh Jageshwar. One trek is also popular which is 10 kms from Jageshwart via Shokiathal.
